I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you back to a new school year and to encourage you--parents and students--to take an active role in both curricular and extra-curricular activities.

 

I am happy to announce that we still have some great programs in place that your children can benefit from.  These include our Credit Recovery, Grade Recovery, and our GED programs.  These are fantastic opportunities that can give your child what he or she needs to be successful.  As a matter of fact, we had sixty-five students to successfully complete the Credit Recovery requirements and five of them earned their diploma.  This in turn boosted our graduation rate.

 

The good news does not stop there.  Our business and marketing departments now hold an industrial certification.  This means that the students enrolled in these programs are highly qualified and after graduation, they can compete in the market place for the better paying jobs.

 

In addition to this grass roots effort and accomplishment, we have also implemented Standards-Based Instruction (SBI).  With this framework in place, content is presented in a logical manner, and student goals are clear, challenging, and standard-based.  Students are also engaged and actively involved in learning.
